Our Sponsoring Organizations

MARY LYON CHURCH

Established by some of Buckland's earliest inhabitants, the Mary Lyon Church has held services since 1785.  So much of Buckland's history centers around this church and those early parishioners, but its the lasting generations and newer locals that have continued this vibrant and inclusive faith community.  https://marylyonchurch.org/

BUCKLAND HISTORICAL SOCIETY

Going strong since 1957, this group of local history, loving people focus on the area's rich, colonial history through more recent times by operating the Buckland Historical Museum, Wilder Homestead, and being very active throughout the year.  200+ members help support the projects, such as rebuilding the Wilder Homestead Barn.  www.bucklandmasshistory.org

BUCKLAND PUBLIC HALL

For many years the Hall was the Buckland Grange, and purchased by the Mary Lyon Church in 1968. In the early 2000s the Hall was lovingly restored to better function as a space for public use, and is currently run by a committee of Buckland community members. The Buckland Public Hall is a wonderful place to host an event.  Check out their upcoming events on Facebook!

BUCKLAND UNION CEMETERY ASSOCIATION

BUCA is a non-profit organization that manages 4 historic cemeteries in Buckland. https://bucklandcemetery.org/

BUCKLAND PUBLIC LIBRARY

Operated by a non-profit, The Buckland Public Library, Inc. and in part by the Town of Buckland, this library is small, but mighty!  Beyond having a wonderful collection of popular books and media, the library houses a wonderful collection of historic references, and has a busy event calendar. https://bucklandpubliclibrary.org/

FRIENDS OF ROBERT STRONG WOODWARD

The Friends of Robert Strong Woodward, Inc. is a non-profit organization whose mission is to preserve, promote, and perpetuate the artistic legacy of its namesake.  For the membership, Woodward strikes a chord of familiarity and nostalgia for the landscape that surrounds us here in West County every day.  They hope all will share their love of his work.   https://www.robertstrongwoodward.com/Scrapbook/FriendsOfWoodward.html
